You are very welcome here at
At Greenhouse learning, we don't do things by half... We do them by quarter too... at least on the Key Stage One page.
Today, key stage one will be finding halves and quarters of shapes, splitting them into either two equal parts or four equal parts. EYFS will be drawing number pictures (have you noticed that 2 looks like a duck?) And Key Stage 2 will be taking part in a dangerous (not really) wizards duel to the death (not really) using their times table knowledge (really)! In English, we will be going back to nature. EYFS will be creating "book trees", KS1 will be writing Nature Poems and KS2 will be writing haikus, also about nature. Staying on the nature theme, all year groups can get involved with this treat from Pixie Rae at 'The Magical Lair of the Craft Pixies', a nature collage from things you have foraged for during a walk in the woods (just beware of big, bad wolves!). Enjoy - see you tomorrow!

Good afternoon!
Today's maths and English learning is available on the EYFS, KS1 and KS2 pages. EYFS will learn about the number 10 using "ten green bottles". KS1 will practise their "10 more and 10 less" skills. KS2 are rounding to the nearest 10. In English, all phases have a piece of learning about the Little Red Riding Hood story. EYFS will be drawing a beginning, middle and end. KS1 will create nine prompt cards to help them tell the story aloud. KS2 will rewrite parts of the story, using synonyms and wow words to make it less repetitive and more interesting to an older reader. Creative task to follow this afternoon. Enjoy! Good morning, learners!
Your maths and English learning is now live on the respective pages above. Today, EYFS and KS1 will be learning about 3s. Early Years will be recognising and drawing the 3s that appear in the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and KS1 will be spotting patterns in the three times tables. KS2 have a fun and challenging problem solving investigation to do. They will need a little assistance to get set up, but then should be able to have a crack at it independently. In English, EYFS will be creating the front cover of the Goldilocks and the Three Bears book. Key Stage One will be acting out the story using puppets. Key Stage Two will be writing a letter of apology from Goldilocks to the Three Bears. Creative lessons to follow. Happy learning! PS: Apologies for the delay. My laptop chose the worst time to install updates! Good morning, children and parents.
Today's maths learning is linked to the story of Noah's Ark. EYFS children will be going on a 2 hunt. KS1 children will be counting in their 2s. KS2 children will be investigating what would happen if different numbers of animals were invited on to the ark. In English, children will continue to learn based on the Noah's Ark story. EYFS children will draw pictures of different parts of the story to boost comprehension skills. KS1 children will retell the story using a comic book template and adverbials of time. KS2 children will tell different parts of the story by writing a diary entry as if they are Noah himself. Creative learning is also available. EYFS will create circle posters of the Noah's Ark story. KS1 and KS2 will follow the link to our sister site, The Magical Lair of the Craft Pixies, and learn how to draw a rabbit by using simple shapes. I look forward to hearing how you get on. See you tomorrow. Enjoy! At Greenhouse Learning, we believe in giving children the skills they need to flourish as writers, mathematicians, historians, geographers, linguists, artists, musicians and creative thinkers. We believe that learning should, first and foremost, be fun.
Join Mr Green on Monday 23rd March 2020 for a selection of fun activities for Primary School aged children that are linked to England's National Curriculum. You will find a daily maths lesson, English lesson and creative afternoon lesson for each Primary Key Stage (including EYFS) to keep your little (and not so little) monsters' brains active.
